An instructor's teaching day
Home → Sessions → The register → Groups and Students
This flow follows an instructor from arriving at the academy to leaving it, and the register they take on the way. It is written for instructors. Owners and front-desk staff can read the last stops to see where the marks end up.
1. Home: check in
Section titled “1. Home: check in”When you arrive, press Check In on your home screen. Your check-ins are kept as your attendance, and at the end of the month your salary is worked out against them.

- Check In
- Check Out
See Checking in and out.
2. Home: today’s sessions
Section titled “2. Home: today’s sessions”Today’s Sessions lists the sessions you teach today, earliest first, with their status. Each row has Take attendance, for stop 4, and View Group, which opens the group’s page.

- Today's Sessions
- Take attendance
See Your home screen.
3. Sessions: the rest of your week
Section titled “3. Sessions: the rest of your week”Teaching → Sessions lists the sessions of the groups you teach. Choose Scheduled in All Statuses to see what is still ahead. Moving or cancelling a session is for owners and anyone who can manage Groups: if one of yours has to change, ask them - see A session moves or is cancelled.

- Status
See The sessions list.
4. The register
Section titled “4. The register”Press Take attendance beside the session on Home. Mark each student Present, Late, Absent or Excused - or press Mark all present first - and press Save attendance. A student you leave unmarked is not recorded as absent.

- Mark all present
- A student's status
- Save attendance
See Taking attendance.
5. Groups: where the marks show
Section titled “5. Groups: where the marks show”The marks appear on the group’s page on Teaching → Groups, in the session’s column of Students & Attendance. Home lists only today’s sessions, so this is also where you correct an older register: every session of the group has a column.

- Today's column
See A group’s page.
6. Students: where an absence shows afterwards
Section titled “6. Students: where an absence shows afterwards”On the student’s profile on Teaching → Students, Enrolled Groups shows their attendance in each group. The bar counts the sessions they attended or came late to, so an absence lowers it; it turns yellow below 80% and red below 60%. Anyone who can see Students can open the profile, and the student’s name on the group’s page opens it too.

- Attendance
Tuevia does not tell students or parents about an absence: whoever follows it up, does it themselves. See The student profile.
7. Home: check out
Section titled “7. Home: check out”When you leave, press Check Out. If you step out during the day and come back, check in again: the clock carries on from the time you have already worked. See Checking in and out.
