Paying one salary

Deposit Salary records a salary paid to one employee, with a bonus or a deduction if there is one. Owners, admins, and anyone allowed to manage Salaries can use it. To pay everybody for a month at once, from their attendance, see Paying the month’s salaries.

Deposit Salary
  1. On the Salaries page, press + on the employee’s row.

  2. Check Amount. Tuevia fills in the monthly salary; change it if this payment is different.

  3. Choose how you paid in Payment Method: Bank Transfer, Cash, Check, Card or Other.

  4. Check Payment Date. It is today unless you change it.

  5. Enter a transfer or cheque number in Reference Number, if there is one.

  6. For a bonus, press Add Bonus and enter its Amount and Reason.

  7. For a deduction, press Make Deduction and enter its Amount and Reason. Add anything else worth keeping in Notes.

  8. Check the box at the bottom: Base Salary, plus Bonus, minus Deduction, makes the Total paid.

  9. Press Confirm Deposit. The button stays grey while the total is zero or less.

  • Base amount must be greater than zero
    Enter an Amount above zero.

  • Final amount must be greater than zero
The deduction is as large as the salary and bonus together. Check the amounts.

  • Failed to deposit salary
The payment was not saved. Try again.

The payment appears in the employee’s Payment History — see Adding a salary — and in the expenses on Reports.
