Paying the month's salaries
Process Salaries pays every employee with a salary for one month in one go. It takes off time they did not work, adds overtime and commission, and shows you every figure before anything is paid. Owners, admins, and anyone allowed to manage Salaries can use it.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Each employee needs a salary — see Adding a salary. Deductions and overtime come from the attendance recorded for the month — see Employees.

How the figures are worked out
Section titled “How the figures are worked out”-
Deductions
The base salary divided by the hours expected in the month gives an hourly rate. Every hour short of the expected hours is taken off at that rate. -
Overtime
Overtime hours are paid at one and a half times that rate. -
No attendance recorded — paid in full
An employee with nothing recorded all month — no hours, no day present, late or on leave — has nothing taken off. -
Net Salary
Base salary, minus deductions, plus overtime and commission. It is never below zero. -
Commission
See Commission.
Each payment is dated the day you process it and records the month it is for. Its notes list the base salary, deductions, overtime and commission.
Processing a month twice
Section titled “Processing a month twice”A month can be paid by Process Salaries only once. Run it again and anyone already paid for that month is skipped and counted as already paid this month, so nobody is paid twice.
Salaries paid one at a time with Deposit Salary are not counted: the month would be paid again — see Paying one salary.

failed, with a reason under an employee’s name

What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”The payments appear in each employee’s Payment History and in the expenses on Reports.
